Some feedback I got about my site is that it’s a little basic. It seems to be easy to navigate and has good content, but it doesn’t exactly reflect my personality, which is something I want to shine through my website. I know it is a professional website, so I’m trying to avoid unnecessary clutter, but I still need to add some flair to remind viewers that this is me! My lesson plan page is also a bit long and includes some teacher jargon that most people tend to skim over, like the content standards, but it seemed like people were more interested in my personal work page. The social media icons on my page don’t lead anywhere right now, which can be a little confusing but I don’t have a separate Instagram from my personal one, and I’m not comfortable putting that online, so I think I will remove those buttons to avoid any confusion and just include my email instead. A positive is that the navigation buttons on the side of my website are easy to find and use. Overall, my main focus moving forward is adding more life and personality to the site while still keeping it professional.
